1. Overview
Moon 3 of Spades is a strategic multiplayer
card game that combines trick-taking mechanics with competitive bidding. Players form teams, place bids, win tricks,
and outsmart opponents to score points and win the game.
2. Game Setup
2.1 TABLE CONFIGURATIONS & CARD SCALING

2.2 Team Selection Modes
The platform handles three separate lobby initialization modes:
- Teamwise Selection: Users manually negotiate and select structural slots inside the lobby prior to game launch.
- Random Distribution: The engine automatically scrambles and pairs team spots upon table loading.
- Card-Based Partnership: Restricted to matches featuring 3 or more participants. The Bid winner declares a specific card; the user holding these cards serves as a hidden teammate.
2.3 Cards Set
- Standard Mode (52 Cards): The floor target bid initiates at 125 points. The session terminates when a team achieves the maximum victory threshold of 250 points.
- Extended Session Mode (104 Cards): Features a duplicate deck set. The floor target bid initializes at 250 points, with a final match-winning cap established at 500 points.
3. SCORING MODELS

4. GAME PLAY STEPS
4.1 BIDDING
- Rotational Loop: Progresses clockwise starting from the one player.
- Increment Architecture: Multiples must advance strictly in units of 5 (e.g., 150, 155, 160).
- Bound Limits: Operational floor bid begins at 5, scaling to an absolute maximum cutoff of 250 in 1 deck (52 cards), and for 2 decks (104 cards) it will be 500.
- Pass: Users can select "Pass" to opt out. If a complete table loop results in a total pass stalemate, the system automatically awards the first valid player at baseline point values.
- Bid Winner: The player confirming the highest point target secures the Bid, winning the right to dictate round rules.
4.2 TRUMP SELECTION
- The BID winner designates one of the four base suits to become the active Trump Suit for that round.
- Trump Card Exception: The Trump Card retains absolute dominance, operating above all the suit. It automatically registers as the highest priority unit.
4.3 TRICKS PLAYING
- The Opening Lead: The Bid winner Play the first card to start the initial trick.
- Suit Following Rule: Moving clockwise, all users are forced to match the suit of the opening card if available in their hand card set.
- Void Suite Discards: If a user possesses zero cards matching the lead suit, they can throw a tactical card to empty another suit, or play a Trump card to try and win the trick.
- Winning a Trick:
- If No Trump Is Played > The highest card of the led suit wins
- If Trump Is Played > The highest trump card wins
- The winner collects the trick cards, logs them into their team score pool, and triggers the next trick.
4.4 SCORING ARCHITECTURE & MILESTONES
Upon completion of all tricks, the system runs an audit over each team's card pool:
- Bidding points Matched: If the bidding team's calculated points match or exceed their bid, the team will be marked as winner.
- Bidding points Not-Matched (Under-Bidding): If the bidding team fails to reach their bid goal, the opposition team will be marked as winner.

1. Overview
1.1. The primary goal is to win enough card points during play to meet or exceed your team's bid.
1.2. The special 3♠ (Kali Tidi) is worth 30 points and stands as one of the most critical cards in the game.
2. Players and Setup
2.1. Player Count: Usually played with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 7 players.
2.2. The Deck: Uses a standard 52-card deck for a smaller number of players (2 to 4), and uses a 2-deck setup (104 cards) for a higher number of players (5 to 7).
2.3. Game Mode: Players must select the game mode from the following options: Team-Based, Random Mode, or Card-Based.
3. Card Values
Only specific cards carry point values. All other cards are worth 0 points.

4. Bidding Phase
4.1. The total number of available points in a single round is 250 points for 1 deck, and 500 points for 2 decks.
4.2. Bidding opens at a standard minimum value, commonly set at 125 points for a 1-deck set and 250 points when a 2-deck set is used.
4.3. In turn, players must either raise the current bid or pass.
4.4. The player who submits the highest bid wins the auction. This player's team or individual player is now obligated to score at least that many points to win the round.
5. Trump and Partners
5.1. The winning bidder declares the trump suit for the round.
5.2. The bidder also calls out one or more specific partner cards.
5.3. Whichever players hold those called cards secretly become the bidder's teammates.
5.4. These alliances remain hidden and are only revealed to the table when the called cards are officially played during a trick.
6. Playing Tricks
6.1. The winning bidder leads the very first trick.
6.2. Players must follow the led suit if they have a matching card in their hand.
6.3. If a player cannot follow suit, they may play any card, including a trump card.
6.4. The highest card of the trump suit wins the trick. If no trump cards are played, the highest card of the original led suit wins.
6.5. The player who wins the trick gathers the cards and leads the next one.
7. Scoring
7.1. If the bidding team aggregates a point total that meets or exceeds their initial bid, they win the round.
7.2. If the bidding team falls short of their bid, they lose the round.
7.3. All the round summary will be displayed in the final round summary table.
8. Common Rules (1 or 2 Sets)
8.1. When Deck (1 or 2 sets) are selected, the game uses 52 cards or 104 cards (combined).
8.2. Card Distribution: Cards are distributed as evenly as possible among all players.
8.2.1. Example (3 Players): Out of 104 total cards, each player receives 34 cards. The 2 remaining extra cards must be removed before the game starts. This principle applies to all other odd or uneven player counts.
8.3. Duplicate Cards Rule: Since two decks are used, identical duplicates exist in the game.
8.4. The Tie-Breaker Rule: When identical cards (same rank and suit) are played in the same trick, the card played later wins over the card played earlier.
8.4.1. Example Play:
-
Player A plays King of Diamonds (♦K)
-
Player B plays 2 of Diamonds (♦2)
-
Player C plays King of Diamonds (♦K)
8.4.2. Result: Both Player A and Player C played the highest card. Because Player C played their duplicate copy after Player A, Player C wins the trick. Standard trump and trick-taking rules still apply normally.
9. Teammate Card Selection Process
9.1. Selecting Teammate Cards: The bidder will see a list of all possible teammate cards from other players' hands (excluding their own). The allocation counts remain identical to standard mode.
Teammate requirements by player count:
-
3–4 Players: Select 1 teammate card.
-
5–6 Players: Select 2 teammate cards.
-
7 Players: Select 3 teammate cards.
9.2. Duplicate Card Resolution for Teams: Because each card appears twice in a double deck, the same target card may be held by multiple players.
9.3. Partner Selection Rule: If the Two Card set option is selected during the Card-based selection game mode, then the partner selection rule options should display the following options:
-
First Matching Card Played: The first player to play the selected teammate card becomes the bidder’s teammate.
-
Last Matching Card Played: The last player to play the selected teammate card becomes the bidder’s teammate.
10. Player Inactivity Rules
10.1. During Bidding: Each player must place a bid or pass within a reasonable time. If a player remains inactive for more than 1 minute during their turn, their hand is automatically passed, and the action moves to the next player.
10.2. Extended Inactivity: If any player remains completely inactive for more than 5 minutes, the match is considered abandoned. The room automatically closes, and the current session terminates for everyone.
11. Additional Rules
11.1. Suit Following: If you have a card in the led suit, you must play it.
11.2. Highest to Lowest Priority:
-
11.2.1. Trump Card (Highest Trump)
-
11.2.2. Trump Suit Cards (Ace (A) > King (K) > Queen (Q) > Jack (J) > 10 > 9 > 8 > 7 > 6 > 5 > 4 > 3 > 2)
-
11.2.3. Other Suits (Lowest Priority)
